SEPTA seeks input on energy action plan

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has scheduled two open houses to gather input on its latest energy action plan.

The first meeting will take place today, while the other is scheduled for Nov. 21. The plan outlines strategies for reducing SEPTA's greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050.

The strategy marks the second-generation of a plan originally published in 2012. That plan has been key to implementing SEPTA's sustainability program, known as SEP-TAINABLE 2020.

The latest plan summarizes outcomes to date and proposes new areas of focus, such as facility energy efficiency projects, SEPTA officials said in a press release.
