Union Pacific Railroad subsidiary Loup Logistics Co. has acquired Precision Components Inc.'s (PCI) transload facility in Phoenix.

Finalized last month, the acquisition will enable UP to expand transloading and storage services for shippers in the Phoenix market, Loup officials said in a press release.

Norfolk Southern Corp. today announced changes to its board, including the naming of Amy Miles as non-executive chair effective May 1.

Miles has been a member of NS' board since 2014. Alan Shaw, who was appointed president in December 2021, will join the board when he assumes the role of CEO in connection with the planned retirement of Chairman and CEO James Squires on May 1.

CN yesterday announced Tracy Robinson will become its next president, CEO and a board member on Feb. 28.

Robinson’s appointment follows the previously announced retirement of Jean-Jacques Ruest as president and CEO. Ruest will depart CN’s board on Feb. 28, but remain at the railroad as an adviser until March 31 to ensure a seamless transition, CN officials said in a press release.
